Hormonal Disease

What Are Hormonal Diseases?

Hormonal diseases arise either from either high or too low bodily hormone levels. Endocrine glands—thyroid, pancreas, pituitary, adrenal, ovaries or testes—manufacture hormone chemicals, which are chemical messengers.

These glands produce hormone molecules into the circulation, which subsequently go to various organs and tissues, therefore controlling functions like metabolism, development, mood, and reproduction.
